Animal health and welfare, efficiency and sustainability are at the heart of Beckside Farm, run by Patrick Morris-Eyton. Keen to take over the management of the business from his father, he spearheaded a development project which has created an optimum environment for the cows to fulfil their potential. Milking over 800 cattle in a rotary parlour.

1. - and then an afternoon visit to Ulverston​
Spend the afternoon visiting the town of Ulverston in the heart of the Furness Peninsula, This is is a charming market town known for its rich history, unique landmarks, and vibrant community. With its cobbled streets, old buildings, and a variety of public houses. Ulverston offers a delightful blend of heritage and modern-day attractions, or stretch your legs with a walk up to the St Barrow Monument on the top of Hoad Hill
2 - Windermere and the World of Beatrix Potter
You will start your visit at the Lake’s freshwater Aquarium and meet the UK’s largest collection of freshwater fish. Watch the otters at play and walk under the lake while the ducks dive above you. The next part of you visit is with a Lakeland cruise, taking in magnificent scenery of Windermere (not Lake Windermere), then finish the day with a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction and free time in Bowness on Windermere.


3 - Discover Needlecrafts at Castle Head

Spend the day at Castle Head with local crafts people discovering a range of needlecrafts.
You will have the opportunity to complete a project and take it home with you to.
4 - Free time for you to explore the area independently

Use your time today to explore the local area including Grange-over-Sands, about a 30 minute walk from Castle Head. Situated on the southern tip of the Cartmel Peninsula, Grange over Sands is a tranquil seaside town offering visitors a blend of Edwardian and Victorian architecture and natural beauty. With its picturesque promenade, fascinating history and mild climate, Grange-over-Sands remains a much loved retreat for those seeking peace and an escape into nature.
Or use local transport network to visit Arnside or Silverdale (including the Leightmoss Nature Reserve) - your day to choose what you would like to do, or just relax at Castle Head.
